My Story
Akicita has certainly seen his ups and downs over the years. Like most male lion cubs, he had a knack for figuring out ways to get himself into trouble. An illness in early adulthood left him without a mane for a while, and we worried whether or not he would get it back. But Akicita not only grew back his mane but became one of the biggest lions on the compound. His laid back demeanor and easygoing nature have made him a popular cat, but he can be just as rowdy as the others when food shows up!
