Dear log,

Y'know, there's something wonderful about being out in the water. The waves crashing, the sound of the sea...it's all just very peaceful. Sometimes, when I'm just hanging out in the water, I feel a tremendous calm just being part of nature. Well--I'm always part of nature, I guess. But appreciating the natural world is its own thing.

My enclosure-mates say that they hate getting salt water in their fur and make the most horrible faces at me when I come back smelling of the sea.  The salt does do horrible things to my fur, but being caked with beach sand is way worse than salt water any day.
