Dear log,

Met a new friend out on the beach named Gull. He told me that I was surfing in his territory and that the beach was for 'locals only'.  I told him that wanted to become local, though, so I think he's going to help me! I figured it'd be hard to learn from a flier about surfing, but when he told me he had seen Kelly Slater surfing, I got really excited. He said he'd teach me some of the stuff he saw.

For a creature with short legs that has never surfed, he sure knows a lot...

And I'm getting better!
