Meet Misunkala

Misunkala, a Siberian tiger, takes a pause from playing with his favorite donut at Central Florida Animal Reserve

  • Birthday:  February 7, 2005

  • Species:  Siberian Tiger – Panthera Tigris

  • Status:  Endangered

Misunkala’s entire world can be summed up in two words: “Let’s play!”. From his young days as a cub to his adulthood, he has always exhibited a will to play and adventure. He could be affectionate with his handlers almost to the point of being ‘needy’, but grew into a certain life confidence that always seems laid back. His name means “little brother” but his sheer body size is impressive. At over 6 feet in length, Misunkala is truly a majestic representation of his species.  These days, he continues to test himself against his environment, his toys, and occasionally his enclosure mate Charger.  When you meet him for the first time, he truly takes your breath away and you’ll have a hard time trying to get it back.

If lounging was a sport, Misunkala would be a pro athlete!
